VOCAB PICTIONARY
(Miller and Levine Dragonfly book)   

Students practice vocab by drawing pictures of vocab words.

AHEAD OF TIME:
Print off pictionary words for the chapter below onto cardstock
and cut apart.

HOW TO PLAY:
Artist picks a card and must draw a picture to represent the word. No talking allowed. Artists can use symbols.

Teams:
Each student on team must take a turn to draw while team mates have 3 minutes to guess as many words as possible. Each artist is allowed 3 passes. Guessed words are removed from deck and points awarded for each correctly identified word. Unguessed words go back into the pack.

Individuals:
Students can play in small groups or with a partner.  Students take turns as artist and try to get partner to say the word.
