Chad Adamson Chad has been a counselor since 1998 for the Brookings School District. He enjoys volleyball, camping and hiking, and middle school students who come by the office and say "hello Email: Chad.Adamson@k12.sd.us Website: http://ca008.k12.sd.us |
Our aim is to assist middle school students through three areas of development: academic, career, and personal/social.
Services: The ways we assist the students through the developmental areas are individual counseling, group counseling, and classroom guidance. We are available for consultation with parents, teachers, and other community professionals.
Classroom guidance activities that we conduct are Friendship Skills, Conflict Resolution, Peer Helper Skills, and Career Exploration and Future Planning. We also collaborate with classroom teachers on interdisciplinary team units.
We serve as the coordinators for the Natural Helpers, students who have been trained to assist their fellow classmates with problems.
